App Prototyping & User Testing
This assignment is about the prototype and user testing of an application. It is the follow of the second assignment using the techniques that we have learn through assignment 1 and 2.
First of all, to explain how the app is going to to useful and helpful, here are two storyboards.
The storyboards have been created to show how the app can be helpful and that it is a quick respond using this application.
The next step after the storyboard was the prototyping of the app.

The prototyping for me was the best part of this assignment. I could see the ideas taking place and this was a very nice feeling.
In the app, I have used several design principles. Such as; concistency, hive hats racks, highlighting, flexibility-usability trade off. Those principles have been used to make the application user friendly so that everyone can use it.
The app has different functions which are clearly separate and titled to help the user during the navigation. This app help owners to find vets around them rapidly and book an appointment. It also helps users to find services such as pet sitters, pet walker, restaurant with the right to bring animals and so on. The owner can keep track of the vaccines of his pet and include it in the app each time his pet does it. This app is here mainly to help a pet owner to take better care of their animals.
After created the prototype I have contacted and invite different people to use this application and to answer five questions.
- How do you feel when using this application?
- Do you think that the application will help people to take better care of their pets?
- What do you think should be added or remove in the app?
- What do you think of the layouts of the application?
- Do you think that people will want to use this application?
It was difficult due to the pandemic to do an interview.I had some internet issues ,so I have ask to an interviewee to record herself answering the questions as if I was asking her.
I have also create a variation of layouts for some sreen. I have ask the interviewees to choose which one of the screens they prefered and that they feel more at ease to use.
The stars represent the votes of the user testers for the splits.
After analysing the interviews , I have improve the final protype.
To be honest, 5 interviews is not enough to be able to have a better outcome as all the 5 interviewees will not have a common point and it is quit difficult to know what is more important because they are maybe saying what the target audience would like to have. For a better outcome, surveys must have been done to be able to maximise the answers of the target audience.
